Global Warming Or Wealth Redistribution Again?

Fox News report indicated that the current administration will participate in the United Nations conference on Global Warming that will start shortly. The statements made in the news cast were sufficiently concerning that a friend of mine decided to follow up and read some of the references. The initial reference was to a Fox News blog article: "The UN Makes it Official: Global Warming Hysteria Is All About Redistributing Wealth".

When in the above document, click on the word "document" in the fourth line and you will retrieve the full 16 page United Nations document that will be the basis for the meeting next week. This is all about "Cap & Trade" and the various methods to control Carbon Dioxide emissions and at the same time to redistribute wealth. Here is an excerpt from the Conclusion section of this document:

Par. 69 from the Conclusions section: 69. As recognized in decision 5/CP.7, .responses to climate change should be coordinated with social and economic development in an integrated manner with a view to avoiding adverse impacts on the latter, taking into full account the legitimate priority needs of developing countries for the achievement of sustained economic growth and the eradication of poverty.. This note is aimed at facilitating discussions that could more effectively fulfill these provisions.

The Fox News blog also makes reference to NASA's James Hansen and his correspondence with President Obama. Click on the word "wrote" immediately after Hansen's name and you will find his recommendations to Obama, many of which are reflected in the UN document.
